Shouldn't matter on the sending unit. I would pull it out and turn the key to on and have someone there move the float up and down and watch the gauge on the dash.
Other than rust, what would be the main benefit to this swap?
Mainly just rust prevention/correction. That's why I did it
I figured, but was wondering if I was overlooking something. I'll still be keeping an eye out at junkyards for these.
