    You can do it with it on. I've done it a bunch of times. It'll make it very close to the body and may scrape it's way up.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    I've done it both ways...leaving the filter on just makes clearance a little tight. Taking the filter off doesn't necessarily make anything easier.

    Sweet. Now that I look closer, I can clearly see the filter in the pic now.

    And that short harness that goes to the pressure sender, crank sensor, and rear knock sensor can stay with the engine?
    I actually can't get my meat mittens on the plug of the rear knock sensor to unplug it anyway.


    I should be about ready to pull it then. Just gotta tie up the PS and AC, and pull the converter bolts.
