I used the u clamps that came with it and then i had a leak so i put band clamps on one at a time and it ended up being my dp was leaking a little bit. Just enough to make it tick when about 1/2 throttle. So if you want to put the band clamps on there about $10 each or so. You would need 2 2.25" and 2 3".

Re: How to install headers: The easy method
Oh noes the XS Power headers...lol good luck.
Those need cut up and welded as the front header doesn't fit to the crossover.
Re: How to install headers: The easy method
Love the write up.
Sounds like I WILL need help when doing them lol. Good to know ;)
Those band clamps. Autozone has em? Or I gotta order zzp?

Re: How to install headers: The easy method
i orderd SSAC headerss and recieved the Xs ones. ssac paperwork and stickers and super cool xs turbo keychain.
i had to take a pry bar and bend the the crossover once the rear was installed, wasnt too bad, everything else was fine

Re: How to install headers: The easy method
Re: How to install headers: The easy method
no thru ssacs website, for 215 shipped
Re: How to install headers: The easy method
The SSAC's that I ordered were also XS Power. Some creative work with a deadblow mallet and ratchet straps fixed that crossover issue, that and the stainless steel band clamps. I'll get pictures this afternoon when I get home to finish putting it back together when the new injectors and O2 sensor extension cable get here.

Re: How to install headers: The easy method
okayy. so i was definitely going to go with ssac, but xs doesn't seem to get user-friendly reviews given this thread...wonder why/when ssac switched to xs? guess ill just go with SD then.
Re: How to install headers: The easy method
Hmm When I ordered my Speed Daddy's there was a DNA Motoring Badge on them.
The 80's and early 90's Vettes were slow and underpowered, the 92-96 at least had the LT1.
Re: How to install headers: The easy method
Here are the pictures of what I did with the joints on mine. The clamps that are used I got from Sturdevants/Pronto. They were around 12 to 13 each for 2.25" and 3" clamps. I believe they are called Torxtite and they are stainless. The clamp on the flex-pipe came with the SSAC headers.
