I have my 97 GP SE, 3.8 non supercharged, i keep having a popping sound coming from the front passenger side...usually does it when I turn the wheel either left or right and expecially while turning the wheel and backing up. Im not to car savy but im thinking possibly the ball joint, anyone have a better clue?

Jack up the car and shake the tire and find what is loose.

The tire has a little play in it, is that usually more ball joint then?....everything looks to be tight and i didnt see anything broke. I have read that this is pretty common from some of the other posts!

Have some one else move the tire and you look behind it. Sounds like a tie rod end tho.

Ok I will try that and see what I see...I had the outer tie rod end replaced about 2 months ago, forgot about that until you said that..I will let you know what i see...thanks for the help though

So I went and had my front end looked at and the noise was from the CVU Shaft...never would have thought
