what about the seat belts, can the 04+ ones bolt right into the 97-03 models?
My seatbelts in my 99 work with it, but I will most likely swap them out to the 04+ ones eventually. I remember at least one member mentioning they had done this. Now I just need to get another set of headrest seatbelt holders again.

can anyone elaborate a little more on how to hook the wiring up a little better, I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to connect everything,

Am i going to be splicing and making my own connections or ....??? pictures would be excellent if possible
Sorry, I didn't see your questions earlier. I don't check this thread very often. I am unable to update the write-up so it has just sat. The CGP one is updated more, but needs to have more.

Don't know if my passenger side heat would be the same for anyone else since I already had an aftermarket heat kit in my old passenger seat. I have bigger things to tear apart before I get back to the interior.

Here is the wiring part of it to this point.

    Wiring:
    99 GP (Connector c311)
    --------------------------------
Pin A-Fused Battery Feed - Orange (larger gauge wire)
    Pin B-Ground - Black
Pin C-Fused Battery Feed - Orange (smaller gauge wire)
Pin D-Seat Belt Switch Input - Black/white stripe
Pin E-Heated Seat ON Feed - Blue
    Pin F-Heated Seat Low/High Input - Pink

    05 GP (Connector c311)
    --------------------------------
Pin A-Battery Positive Voltage - Orange
Pin B-Driver Heated Seat Cushion Temperature Sensor Low Reference - Yellow
Pin C-Battery Positive Voltage - Orange
Pin D-Driver Heated Seat Relay Control - Purple
Pin E-Heated Seat Cushion Temperature Sensor Signal - Yellow/black stripe
    Pin F-Not Used
    Pin G-Ground - Black
    Pin H-Seat Belt Switch-Left - Black/white stripe
    Pin J-M-Not Used.

    Connections:
    Pin A to Pin A (+)
-Orange to Orange (larger gauge wire)

    Pin C to Pin C (+)
-Orange to Orange (smaller gauge wire)

    Pin B to Pin G (-)
    -Black to Black

Pin D to Pin H (Seat belt)
    -Black/white stripe to Black/white stripe

Pin E to Pin D (heated seat on feed/Driver Heated Seat Relay Control)
    -Blue to Purple

Pin F to Pin B and Pin E (Heated Seat Low/High Input/Driver Heated Seat Cushion Temperature Sensor Low Reference and Heated Seat Cushion Temperature Sensor Signal)
-Pink to Yellow and Yellow/black stripe

    Original: tviolette76

Well the seat switch has been turned around and it works great. I did have to shave/cut off three plastic tabs (guide tabs) that I found to be a non issue. Two of them are on underside of the switch cap (for lack of a better description) and one on the switch body. They are very easy to see when you do try to reassemble the switch, and just by taking a knife to them to slice them off is required.
If you have anything to add or pics it would be very welcome.

Well the 311 connector on the 05 gxp seat has the power, ground, and the seat belt wire on it along with some other ones.

The 2000 grand prix 311 connector is on the seat itself so you wouldnt be able to use persay. So what I did was use the connector that's in the 2000 car under the seat, which has the power, ground, and the seat belt wire, along with some other wires.

Basically what I did was made and extension from the car plug using only the power, ground, and seat belt, and put new connections on the 05 seat power, ground, seat belt wires.

Because basically all the electronics are on the seat itself, so you just need to provide it power ground, and have the seat belt wire hooked up.

Sadly I wont be able to get the pics up until tomorrow, sorry. But they are very firm and comfy. the lumbar isnt too bad either. You do sit a little bit higher up in the front seat compared to the old seats, I'd say at least 3-4 more inches. But the back seats are freakin like mclovin, I almost fell asleep in them at work after i put them in.

hey i finally got my pics of my seats, check it out

very nice. I only have two complaints unfortunatly, one isnt too bad, you do sit a little higher up than the stock ones, and the second one, is that it's a little bit more work to let someone in and out of the back seat area.

Other than that they are gorgeous lookin

Hello all... Working on this mod now. Does any have the wiring info for hooking up the passenger heated seat? I have a second switch (the same as the original factory driver's side switch, but not certain how to wire it.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Have you had any luck with this? I am going to tear into this and see what I can figure out. But if you already had done it, any help would be appreciated!

Hey guys, I need some assistance please.
I LOVE this mod. I dont particularly like my unsupportive seats in my 02 GT Coupe. Im only a skinny fella and am sliding around in them all over the place.

Do the seats have to be from a 05+ GXP? Is there not a 05+ 2dr GTP or GT that I can take them from? I am assuming that the newer 4 door Grand Prix's dont have the sliding or tilting mechanism for getting in the back?

My problem is that I cant find a single set in all of Canada, did they even sell the GXP up here?

all 04+ gp's are 4 door. Any seat from an 04+ will work IIRC.

Im a little concerned about doing this mod now.
Im 5'10 and my hair brushes the roof while I'm driving and it irritates me. I have the seat is in its lowest position... How do taller ppl drive these cars comfortably and how much higher are the 04 seats?
