I think I should have asked my questions here - so here goes - Why the GMCell?? and, will this also facilitate the use of Remote Start from the Key FOB?

I have a 2008 GP V6 (3 button DIC) that I am considering doing this Mod To - for the Compass and Temp Features, but also if it will enable Remote Start??

does anyone out there know, or how about you, TyreElite......

    Thanks.....

This won't do anything for the remote start features. I'd check before doing this to see if you have the wiring for the compass as well. From the reports I've heard, some do and some don't. It'll be on the rear package shelf (under it).

The GMCell just happens to have the right plugs on it to help make it an easier wiring job.

Ok, Thank You Tyro-Elite - really appreciate the info. I guess I'm trying to turn a "Plain Jane" GP into a full-featured one - and giving it my best shot to get all the info ahead of the game so I can ascertain if it is feasible. I pick up little tidbits of info here and there - and i am saving every bit of it so that if I can accomplish this goal, I will put the plans on-line for the whole world to see - I dislike the way the Car Manufacturers keep everything a deep dark secret and try to bleed us dry in the event we want to upgrade - certainly was not like that in the "good old days"......

Anyone else happen to have any tidbits regarding this they are willing to share?????

    Thanks

wouldnt be easier/ cheaper to go to the junkyard, Pull the 5 button DIC along with the wiring harness and just tap the factory harness?
