    the link isnt working .
    1998 GTP , 3" down pipe w/cat , u-bend delete , full 3" exhaust w/ magnaflows , no resonator , powerslot front rotors , Overkill PCM , Overkill FWI , 180* t-stat , 1* colder plugs , alt. re-wire , alt. stage 1 booster . 215 whp and 238 torque .

    great write up thanks . i have been wanting to stick 6.5's in the front doors .

    very good, I did find I had to modify my door panel for 1 set of 6.5's, and I found it the hard way by listening to the buzz, so make sure you double check before cranking the system

    So im thinking of just replicating the stock brackets out of some shhetmetal which i will later cover in some kind of dynamt. what ya think?

    Wow this is a beating around the bush way to do this. The stock brackets just need some slight modification and the 6.5"s will fit just fine, I've done it twice (two different cars).

    How did you get the inner door panel off for this. I am planning on replacing the factory speakers with a component set and want to know how to remove door panel?

    Right underneath/behind the grab bar thing in the middle there are two screwws. take those off and you can then unclip the whole panel from the door. Be careful not to break the clips they are plastic. After its off the door just unhook the wires and you're good to go
