    That's cool!!
This could be total B.S. but I was told by a sales guy at a dealership one day that the Hood Liner is like a fire blanket.......I'm not sure about that.
I never have taken the time to do a search on the subject. I do need to paint mine as it's a bit funky.

Does it matter if I use regular spray paint as opposed to high heat paint? The can I have right now says to not apply to anything that gets over 200 degrees?

Just FYI the hood liner is a heat/fire blanket. I'm not sure if it actually works or not, but I do know for a fact that it is also a sound deadener. I took mine off and damn my car sounds mean. While on the subject, I have people convinced my car is S/C'd because i added a conical filter to the end of that bendy black tube, sounds cool as hell, but people are so dumb sometimes! Think I might put my liner back in now, good work!

So do you have to use heat resistant paint or will duplicolor be fine?

Wanted to do mine with the Pontiac Arrow head on it but I am not sure about it because my liner doesn't look like the one in the picture. Is yours aftermarket or something that it is formed to the crosses in the hood?

Yea Red97Gp, put your hood liner back on, engine heat could damage the paint on your hood over time. This is what i am gonna try. I saw a Hood Liner material comes in various sized rolls. The liner has a metalic appearence almost like foil. Ya can cut it to the contours of your OEM liner and reuse the retainer clips, or whatever they are. Then order a Pontiac Decal from edecals.com. They have various sizes of Pontiac Windshield decals. If you choose the reflective option it may stand up to engine heat. Just a thought.
