The correct Precision part number for the windshield molding on 97-03 Grand Prix's is
    WFS D1288
Windshield Filler Strip Domestic 1288 (Molding is the same for either the 1288 or 1289)

    Jay, you are the man.

If I ever need a windshield for my personal vehicle I will drive up all the way to see you and have YOU put it in.

Side note...with the 200K+ miles on the work truck and all the chips I have in the windshield I finally got my first crack in it last night. Its on the passengers side, so no big deal, plus, they should be getting me a new truck any week/month now away, so I'll let it grow. Who cars...its not mine, and they didn't want to pay to have the cracks fixed to begin with.

Guys, dont forget to vote for threads that are useful to you. I think this is a great feature because if its popular and has a high vote from the community then new people coming here will be able to see that at a glance.

Hi, there. I worked in the tractor cab factory we cut flat laminated glass for the windows and windshield. We would score both sides of the glass with a glass cutter than pour lighter fluid in the score line on one side of the glass. You have to Set the lighter fluid on fire so it would soften the inner laminate and then snap the glass like you would do on house window glass. I practiced a lot on small pieces that were cut offs until I could do a good job.
