For handling, looks would be secondary.

1.5 all around with a decent spring rate would be fun.

But again, since im on hd's I wont see as much of a drop. That is completely fine with me seeing as handling is my main priority. Think 0.75".

The thing you'd have to realize is the main objective is handling which requires spring rate.

Perceived roughness will increase but will be influenced by the condition and valving of your struts. Mostly the rebound.

It seems hd's might have too much rebound which increases the "sporty" feel.

The lower you go, the more out of position your suspension will become.

That increases the likelihood of binding which is reaching the mechanical limit of your suspension parts such as ball joint, tie rods.

If you reach the limit of your struts you will hit the bump stop which feels like you've bottomed out the strut.

From what I recall in speaking with bio, he would ride the bump stops with a full load of people with ebiach springs on his 98.

This should never happen if the spring rate is sufficient for the drop

Right now I have hd's with vogtlands. Spring rate 200/140.

The car doesn't soak up every tiny bump leaving you feeling like you're not floating like stock.

Its not uncomfortable by any means, but the car lets you know what's happening.

I was considering coilovers to increase the cars resistance to body roll with a spring rate around 300/225 for a compromise between comfort and handling.

However this threads idea of a stock replacement spring seems a much better solution for a daily driven street car.

you can still have boot to protect your struts and there would be no corrosion prone pieces like the thrust bearing or the threaded sleeve.

The input of anyone on coilovers on spring rate would be greatly appreciated.

Have a buddy with an iroc on ebiach's and gr2's.

That's a rough ride, yet the spring rates aren't even that high.

we can go less on the rates.....thats why i want to get true data from other springs......not their "posted" data.

Will see if I can find some blown stockers to throw on.

Oh honey, these will be double what "normal" lowering springs are. LOL

stiffer.

though struts has a HUGE play in how it feels.

So much so, that it concerns me that no one cares about valving their struts for these springs.

Finally a real lowering kit....................................
