Anyone have there harmonic balancer move slightly side to side. Enough to see the belt move side to side and you can see that it is eating the belt up.

    Gotcha.

I found one on rock auto for about 176.00. You know of any where else cheaper?

I assume I need a new bolt as well right

That's all you'll need. If you're doing yourself you'll need a vice grip for the flex plate and a impact gun or stupid long breaker bar. Oh and a Chrysler 3 jaw puller

Why do I need to hold the flex plate? Pulley shouldnt move if I am using an impact gun.

I can see needing to hold flex plate if I didnt have an impact gun.

The bolt is at 240lb ft plus a couple degrees of stretch with thread sealant on it. Even with an impact it'll still rotate the crank. Holding the flex plate with the vice grips keeps that from happening

Even with a 450lb ft impact gun you think it will still move that crank?

Where are you putting vise grips on the flex plate?
