I have a 2000 Pontiac grand prix gtp. My PS pump went dry so I figured I'd replace it since it was under warranty. I found that there was a tear on the boot of the passenger side on my steering rack. I believe that the boot is protecting a seal. So if my boot has a rip in it would I replace just the boot or would i replace the seal as well?.

Ok so there must be a seal inside the boot correct? Why would fluid be in there?

Fluid in the boot? If so your rack is leaking
