that part always breaks and the 2 torx head bolts into the head are a huge pain to remove, convert to the GTP style coil pack bracket and save yourself future headaches

I ended up just going to a local scrap yard. Got lucky and they had just what I needed.

P.S. Anyone else who has had the same problem... often times they will break from mechanics/owners over tightening the bolts on them
also ivve noticed with my car sometimes if you hit the accelerator to hard there will be a response delay and then it will literallly "kick" into gear.. this naturally cannot be good on the brackets.

yea i got my first one at a salvage but they didnt have another and idk how it broke again, ive got a few things replaced and hopefully that will work. i love my pontiac but i have to say that alot of things that go wrong are reaccuring with other owners. for instance the turn signal switch

yea, same problem the part no. is on the aluminum piece itself, it's 24506488. L36 engine, grand prix gt 3.8 1999 model four door. the number is on the part itself, gotta take a rag soaked with gas and rub off the dark greese and you'll find the part n.
