But turbo setup would be much easier...I feel I could get my car to 400hp cheaper than the turbo setup.

    Your tuning guy is funny.

Try 300 crank with Headers, CAI, 3.6 pulley.

You need valvetrain mods to get past 240whp. Or methanol injection. Or nitrous.

And you get headers or a dp, not both.

    .....are you guys on drugs?
my hp starts at stock 260 crank? lol lol and with a solid tune..which the guy who owns hp tuners..called my tuner and asked him questions about his own software...lol.
my headers didnt have a dp
    2004 GTP STOCK= 260HP
    TQ=280
a solid tune on one of these cars is 20-30hp add stock! ive seen it done, wish i could have gotten a copy of the dyno. not trying to talk outta the ass cause you guys probably wont believe it...
GTP on Dyno. 275whp 300+ torque - YouTube
theres a vid of my car without headers and how much it will be whp...so...theres your proof of me being right i guess...im talking crank...not whp boys...and you guys must think im talking about 97-03 or something...no sir i like my big boy engines with a gen V and l32 engine i know a bit about my car...and if you honestly think about it standard rule in tuning.....for every pound of boost...(every tenth of in. dropped) its 10hp for a 4banger, 15hp for a v6, and 20hp for a v8.
so theres 30 hp right there =290 and another rough 15for headers, same with the dp since my headers i bought didnt come with one, theres another 30? and then cai could run me about 10hp maybe...and we'll say 20 for tune. theres 355, yet these are all not true numbers with cars we all should know it doesnt add up like this...its not like 2+2=4 in car world its more like 2+2=3, and not all these parts will read the numbers i guessed, they could read way more or way less.....oh and i have a resonator delete, just a straight pipe had to get rid of that ugly rusted resonator! don't bag on me i've talked to literally every guy in omaha about this they all say that this is about right. and if my talk doesnt prove you watch the video and theres your proof.

Not my car or my video. just using to show similar mods and whp

Hmph. Yeah, when we refer to hp we are talking about to the wheels hp.

Annnd your hp estimates are a little high imo. I know that your CAI is not going to give you 10hp. Thats just wishful thinking.

i know i was saying maybe. that would be very nice. i was talking crank....except if you do, the whp ratio testing 355 hp=284 given that isnt going to happen i would love to see 280 at most....and for the 335=roughly 265. im taking a 20% power loss away which is usually what you should take...

Ummm you can't reall have a down pipe with headers...cuz they collect at the "down spot" where a down pipe would be..so you dp est is moot. And who is your god tuner, cuz id love to google him.

and on the headers part...you really must not understand what im saying...all i got were my front header cross over pipe and back header, nothing else. so yes i did need a dp i bought a used pair of togs....

yes. but a regular dp, say from zzp, will not work. it's made to bolt up to the stock rear manifold.

with headers, they have a different setup for their "DP"
like my SD uses a v-clamp to couple the "DP" and rear header.

the part about "big boy engine" made me giggle.

you know the L67 and L32 are the exact same right?? (internal parts are made different is basically the only difference.)

Your blower is just better design.

Let me put it this way. I have a tuner myself.

Using a good AFR, i'm only getting about 250whp (310 Crank) out of the following setup in my 2000 Regal GS with a L67
    3.4 MPS/1.9RR-LS6 Spring/Headers/JMB intake, and 2.5" Headerback exhaust.

    3.4 on a L67 is on par with a 3.6 on a L32, I'll give you that much.

What on god's earth makes your tuner think you will somehow defy physics and get 265-280whp out of a 3.6 MPS/Headers/CAI? L32 or not? -- I see no valvetrain mods listed, killer.
    You'll need a S1X cam/105# springs, 3.2 pulley, 42lb injectors at LEAST to get to 400 crank with a bomb-ass tune.

BTW, i have an 04 GTP as well.
With a good tune i was able to keep stock power (210whp) on 89 octane, So i think i know what i'm talking about here.

Looks like what the majority of people are saying is that most haven't had that level of success with HP on the mods you are mentioning.

I would enjoy seeing you pull that much HP from those mods. I am skeptical though.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
