what are the pros and cons of a STOCK dual and single exhaust?

also, what are the pros and cons of a PERFORMANCE (magnaflow) dual and single exhaust?

    this is for a 3800 n/a GP.

we have dual outlets... not true dual exhaust... only thing to gain is appearance. if youre looking for performance gains... mufflers will do nothing.

ok im sorry for not explaining thoroughly. ik what a true dual and a fake dual is. i was just going by stock fake dual. i was asking should i stay with the single pipe design or go with the fake dual design? i would like true dual but that's not on the agenda at the moment due to financial issues because obama thinks he knows how to spend my money. also, i don't care about tips. tips don't really do ****

like i said... all it is is appearance. if u want it, go for it.. but u will not net any power gains from it.

alright then. thank you gtpinsc. now i have a different question. with magnaflow mufflers, would it be louder with the 2 mufflers or the one? i would think just the one because you have 100% exhaust air going through 1 muffler and if you have 2 mufflers, you are splitting the exhaust air and that would tone down the sound?

im not sure cuz ive never went from one to two... but my 2 flowmaster 40's on my GTP have a pretty decent tone for being a 3800
