Hey guys, long time gtp fanatic and I really need help, I dont know where else to turn. I bought an 04 comp g that stalls after startup, and used to hesitate under heavy load, had the original plugs. A fresh set of delco 41-101 plugs, stock gap, replacement delco wires and it ran a little better. Fuel trims are spot on, pump has nearly 60psi, removed the icm to check for any corrosion and found quite a bit. I cleaned all of it, Still has a random misfire as seen on a scantool, when the car is cold it bogs, the throttle randomly feels like it completely cuts out and I have to nearly floor it to get it to climb hills. It gets better as it warms up, either the car or outside. The best part, it gets me about 8mpg or LESS on my morning commute and struggles to maintain any reasonable highway speed. No codes whatsoever, I'm at my wits end with it and hope you guys can point me in the right direction. Any help at all would be appreciated!

unplug the maf, then fire it up, see if it runs better like that.

Maf is brand new, the older one ran the exact same way, I changed it because the crappy housing was cracked

Make a list and go through it. There are only so many things that can cause the symptoms you described. Start with Scott's suggestion and unplug your maf to determine if thats it. If no change, go from there. Spark (coils, Icm, Plugs) Fuel (filter, Pressure, injectors,) and Air (throttle body, filter,).

I know you said you checked your ICM but that could be it. Random misfires after changing plugs, corrosion makes me think that. I would swing by a junkyard and grab another to see.

MAF is the OEM delco unit, Im wondering if its the icm myself, I also keep hearing about crank sensors. But would a crank sensor cause ****ty misfires, stalling and rough running with temp change? I thought that'd just be stalling,

Stalling after startup is probably the TB needing cleaned.

ive had the icm to crank harness fail on me. that gave me some codes finally tho, 2 icm codes, and later a crank sensor code.
