Last night I put 2 hours into removing the fuel pump and changing the fuel level sensor. The gauge read always full so I was expecting it to work fine and great but of course things don't always go to plan.. So the fuel gauge is still not working and I checked all the fuses and they are all fine. I've looked it up and it seems to be a common problem but they all say to change the fuel level sensor but it still doesn't work. I'm thinking of checking all the wires that lead from the fuel pump to the fuel gauge but I don't have a diagram of that. I need to know what it is thank you!

I don't have the wiring but check that you didn't bend the float arm taking it in and out a few times.

Yeah the float arm is fine. I just hope its a simple fix I don't want it to be something that I would HAVE to take to the mechanic! How would I check if it's my actual gauge?

Reading full means the sensor circuit is open. Could be a wire somewhere. Does the gauge ever move? Check connections too.

So i have to check the wires that run from the fuel pump to the gauge? how do i find out where those are? I know that they are connected just fine into the fuel pump and that the fuel level sensor is fine. so it might be that open circuit? and no the gauge never moves except when i turn the car on and it goes to full.
