I was wondering if just the front plog will be good enough to significantly lower KR and give me more power or if its useless without rear plog as well? No i cant do headers cause im in california.

it helps, but you really want a 3 inch down pipe. ca is a ***** about them too tho.

if you have a U bend in the down pipe, get that removed, it will help a lot. U bend delete killed off 3* of kr in my car. rockers took off 5* before the u bend delete that kille doff the last 3* i had. so yup, i had 8* kr bone stock lol

It will help for sure, the rear plog isnt really needed.

Just add a downpipe if you wish to do anything more. Not sure if any of the downpipes are allowed by carb in cali.

just do the powerlog. you could do a ported and ceramic coated crossover pipe, but you don't have to.

did you pass smog with that dp, or you swap it back to the stock one for inspection?

just smogged it and then had it installed after. In 2017 i may try smogging it with it on since i have a borla exhaust maybe they wont question it? It seemed pretty relaxed as long as the zzp cat passes the sniffer. if not ill have to swap. I tried installing the dp myself but no dice. The manifold bolts were hard to reach and get a good torque on. But maybe that was cause they were stock bolts?

if you tilt the engine forward you should be able to get your hands in through the top. another thing that may help in the future is to take the brackets off that mount to the heads that you would use to pull the engine out. with those out of the way you will have more wiggle space for your hands.

i'm sure zzp's rear plog is slightly better than stock , although they make no claims about it on their site like they do the front , but for $199 ? no thanks. now if my rear cracked and needed replaced anyway ... i might be a buyer.
