Why would you do a dual filter intake? It will not do anything to help the car. If anything is will create more turbulence and hurt performance.

I want to know how you got this idea? The only thing that needs a dual intake is a twin turbo setup

Maybe he is trolling us to test our knowledge. All I know is that it will definitely work and will give you about 9.8 more horsepower.

I think you should use 5 panel filters and make a box with them then go to Home Depot and get a duct flange. That's got to be worth at least 10 hp per filter, but you have to use the stickers or it won't work.

Screw it all, forget the cam build, ima take an ol cooler and put it in the truck, line the trunk with insulation, put 6 - 4" filters into the cooler with dry ice, the the trunk lid and will have a big scoup letting air in from a large tunnel ram sticking up extending over the rear window down into then cooler, will plumb 6" piping through rear seat and through firewall feeding directly into SC from the 6 - 4" tubes, connected to the SC via flex so as to allow movement. I'm sure each filter giving me 10hp will offsets the cam build, who needs headers, gonna be lots n lots of torque too from all the cold air, as an added bonus, Ima plumb my fuel lines in a coil in the cooler to chill the fuel mixture too, iced cool air, iced cool fuel... can't wait...

Actually a lot more common than you'd think on other platforms. Probably more for looks than anything. I can't see any benefit for our platform though...

The "crossfire" dual TBI and the TPI engines both had 2 air filters.

All the Camaros are dual intake, at least my 2.8 was. It was kind of a necessity to do it that way with pulling air through a little slit of a space.

I can't believe you shared something like this with everyone, you should've kept that mod a secret. Our stock cam won't flow all that extra air though, I'd just remove the entire valve train altogether for maximum flow, don't need those valves restricting horsepower. Your timing chain will last forever, bonus. At that point, you can use different throttle bodies to choose your hp level, stock for the street, n* or ls1 for the track, stock L36 TB when you're trying to hustle people (once you get them to bite, it's just 3 bolts to get another ~100 hp and take their money). I like it, waiting for writeup and parts list.
