Hey everyone... Haven't posted here in a while, which is a good sign I suppose (GP has been doing alright till now).
Anyways, could you guys have a listen to my video please? Almost certainly need an SC coupler; but I'm not sure if the SC needs more work than that. In addition to tumbling rock sounds at idle... at 40mph+ when I get on the throttle a BIT and it goes into 20-50% boost, there's a real "surging" sound/feeling to it. It will continue surging until I let off (get out of boost) or lay into it more and get up to ~60% boost. I always let off, I don't like the way it feels/sounds...can't be good for it. Video is "cold" start; although it was 65º today.
Edit: Almost 170k miles. SC oil was changed at 160k.

Is the ZZP $50 coupler replacement kit (w/ SC oil and syringe) worth it? Or should I be looking into replacing the snout....?

I move towards the intake at the very end, gives a different sound profile. Sorry for shaky vid.

your hearing the iac from the air filter, that horrid sound is normal till it warms up, then its gone.

the coupler, take the belt off, snap the sc pulley back and fourth, you'll feel it click if theres play in it.

    Thanks scotty.
Yea I've had that intake on for a few years. Always heard this sound on startup and knew it was normal; but it seems louder/worse as of late. Guess maybe that's the coupler. I'll pull the belt off tmrw hopefully and see if the pulley has play to confirm.

What about the "surging" at low boost ?

When was the last time you did plugs/wires? Any way to scan for misfires? When it's surging, is the car in 4th with the converter locked up as you're easing into boost? When you "lay into it more", does the car happen to downshift just before the surging stops?
