Just picked up a 2005 GT Grand Prix with 50K miles on it. Like new and a very good deal. The man who owned it has passed away so I couldnt ask him about the car. The question I have is is the air condition button (light) suppose to come on every time I start the car? It is not on auto, it does not have remote start. It does have the auto climate setting but I dont have it switched there. No matter how hot or cold it is outside as soon as i start the car the air light is on. Even if you shut off car at a stop light and immediatley restart it it comes on. Is this suppose to be like this or not? Thanks Jeff.

Yeah I figured it would sense the humidity and turn on when needed, but we have had some very dry weather so I figured it shouldnt be coming on but it does.

I disagree. I've had many vehicles without AC and defrost worked excellent in them all.
