Yes, but I would also swap the pcm and engine harness just to make things easier.
thanks,
sounds like its a go.
pull the motor and rusty 98 to the scrapper.
the 2002 gt coupe i found looks great the girl said it has no rust guess we will see them rockers when i get there. she didn't know what i was asking when i said are rocker panels rusty. said she ran out of oil and the engine is toast.
lol this car sounds perfect, you'll have to get eyes on it to know.
ive got a 02 pcm id like to unload, i think i could set up a 02 gt bin to run a sc engine. id have to ask around but i think its just copying the files over.
I just talked to some guy that wants to buy my 98 complete for 500.
i know i can get a na 3800 out of a rear ended 4 dr 2001 for 200 or less.
well now i just don't know what to do..
going to get that 02 gt if it is truly no rust and undercoat it if it isn't already.
It looks like it is.
Well not getting it but its still out there for sale.
I did score a local 2001 silver GTP coupe with special edition interior with light grey inserts.
It does have a little rust on the drivers rocker but runs smooth, shifts and drives. It just does not stop very well.
It needs a serious brake job. The clear coat is pretty much gone. no ses light no airbag light. abs and brake light are on.
Bose speakers with a newer aftermarket stereo with Bluetooth and whatnot. not bad for 950 bucks and I didn't have to haul it 200 miles home.

that sounds like a good plan.....should he ask for it..... whats up with 02 pcm's? they only take 02 na or sc bins. i got 2 of these bastards.
i got one other with the same part # out of a 01 regal it took a 98 bin for my car, but the other was out of a 02 GP those two wont play nice at all lol
You have to find the later OSID to put on the O2's, they can be finicky. Most of the later ones have the same service part# on them, it's the programming number that's different.
Here is the car if anyone else is interested. If it is still for sale in a 2 weeks i might get it.
