Can you replace the autodim mirror with one that does not dim? I have a broken one since I got my 97 Grand Prix GT and I wanna replace it but not sure if any normal one would just fit that does not have that feature. Can someone please shed some light?

I assume it would but rather not just buy a part and hope.

    Thanks!

    it should fit.

theres a thread here somewhere for compatible rear views. as far as other auto dimming brands and ones with lights, compass and stuff.

Yes. I replaced my auto-dim with the six dollar day/night flip-up style. The mount tab is universal with few exceptions, if any.

The Gentex 313 works. It has auto dim, homelink, and a compass.

Wiring can be a little different though as when you just match up stock for stock, only the homelink works in drive the rest in reverse. I don't really care about the others so I haven't put much effort into fixing it.

I'm a believer in going to better options..not worse.

I went homelink with compass and autodim. Cause I don't hang a remote on my visor

I prefer the flip up style because no autodim satisfies my need for dimming. To each his own.
