Hey... first off i understand this topic may of come up a million times but ive been looking for quite some time and cant find what i am looking for..

I have a 2005 grand prix gtp-comp g... I am looking for drop in struts for the front and the back.. i am not going to be lowering the car or anything i just want stock ride quality... even better if i can. Problem i am having is i have read so many threads on this that i am completely lost on what i should get and from where... i have heard people mention FE3's or billsteins... but they are usually talking about lowering or some other mods in the future.

So can anyone just link or point me in the right direction where i can find stock drop in struts?...ive checked my usual part sites and it seems that most drop in struts are for the older body model 97-03. Rockauto sells monroe and MOOG... not sure if those would be suitable and also it says w/o 17 inch wheels under the struts in the description but on my car the stock wheel size was 17 inch so what does that mean?

    thanks

This my friend would be a waste of money if you don't want to lower.

The only way you will get the same ride quality is with the FE3 AC Delco struts....or itsy less with GR2s.

Buy the struts and mounts and have a shop install them if you don't want to mess around.
GR2s will be about half the cost of the Delcos
Someone bought some Monroes quicks a while ago....but they will be big lift, mushy jeep style when they are in.

Well this will be a spring project since its -40C here... so maybe rockauto will restock by than. i replaced the end links already with moog ones when i replaced the control arms w/ ball joints. i found the mounts and bellows but what is an isolater? can you link a rockauto part #? and my springs appear rusted since im in a heavily salted area where could i buy new ones?

i just installed 4 new Monroe quick struts along with tie rod ends, lca's, and a solid sway bar. Now the rear sits level with the front and drives much better. No lift in front ride height or mushy feel.

These are your money shot part numbers for CompG springs.
These numbers are a guarantee because I read them off my old 2004 CompG spring tags.

Alright so i have the 4 fe3s struts.
    front and rear monroe mounts
    Rear lower isolater pads
Front lower and upper isolater pads

I used the Moog "Problem Solver" end links; they are wonderful!
