I have a 06 grand prix gt and I was just wondering if I can weld these to fit onto my car w/o any modification all sites say it wont fit but I was certain the catback was the same on 97-08 models
on another topic what is the highest flowing muffler available for our cars I have a bad KR problem and I am almost 100% certain its the exhaust that is causing it

I can almost 100% tell you it's your plugs and your stock manifolds

I agree with that last two posts, unless you are pushing over 300whp the stock catback isnt causing a exhaust flow issue.

The front manifold and small diameter downpipe can be the bigger issue.

But we don't know that you have done to the vehicle.

I know i need to do the headers and I already chose the ones I want to go with I am just trying to plan out the rest of the exhaust setup, I want a very free flowing setup but still want it to sound nice and I dont see paying 700 for a catback when I can spend less then 300 if I do it myself
I have 42.5# injectors coming soon
    103 spark plugs
    1.9 rockers
    machined lower intake
    3.3 pully
    S2 zzp intercooler
    catless downpipe
    egr delete
    cai with 4" cone filter
    185 tstat
and if I am not at 300whp I am getting close, a buddy of mine has a cobalt ss sc that when last dyno'd was at 300 and I keep up with him

In reality, everything sounds pretty bad on a 3800.

Borla, stock and it might have been a dynomax muffler that sounded okay. Otherwise the rasp and drone of flow crappers and some magnaflow just sound terrible.

With those mods, which it's a decent list is likely somewhere around 250-260 at a guess. You'd need something like a 2.8 pulley with E85 to make over 300 WHP on a stock camshaft.

You can keep up with alot of cars because you have torque, lots of torque. And that cobalt needs some driver mod, 300 whp in a little car should fly.

will it be a simple weld though or is it going to take some modification to make it work? I don't want to buy it then have to fight with it to make it work you know? I have had enough problems with this car as it is, downside is it is my daily driver so I like to know what I am getting into first
