just replaced one of the knock sensors on my project car because it was clearly broken (could move the connector). replaced it and took it for a drive and it showed 0kr ( which is the goal! lol). some reason I was not convinced so I crawled under there and put my scangauge 2 under the car so I could see it. I tapped around both sensors in multiple places with softly and then harder after it showed okr.after I didn't get a reading I checked the wires for resistance and that's not the problem either. So after that I crawled under a 2008 buick to see if I could get the scanner to read kr....and it didn't read anything ( I have the scangauge programed to read kr on both my 98 and my 2008 gp so its programed right). I should get the gauge to read KR by tapping the sensor/ around the sensor right? What else should I try?

no codes for the knock sensors btw

You did torque the sensor to the correct spec too right???

And I always smack the exhaust crossover with a hammer to see if the knock sensor works, maybe even a long screw on the side of the block (exhaust side) and tap it with a hammer.

yes torqued to the correct spec. I tapped the block right my the sensor with a brass handle on both cars and both sensors and I got nothing. ill have to hit the crossover and see if that does anything...Anything else? I really need to confirm that the sensors are working so I don't blow this motor up lol
