Hey guys i need to take off the front bumper and was wondering if anybody knew exactly how many bolts i need to remove. Is it just the 2 bolts that attach to the fenders on each side, the 5 rivets on top that are close to the latch and thats it? Nothing underneath? Reason im asking is cuz I have a fresh paint job on it and i dont wanna go yanking on parts that might make it drop upon detachment. It's an 04 btw.

There are a few on the bottom. 5 on top front, two on each side for fenders.
2004 Comp G "The Panda"- low, e85, big brakes SOLD
2002 Trans Am- 6 speed, bolt ons or something, it's slow.
2006 Silverado- forged ls2, 4l80e, plate kit, also slow...

I have this from when I took my bumper cover off. Those should be all the fasteners you need to remove, but you may also need to take out the two bolts under the hood latch, I can't remember if they actually attach to the bumper cover. And possibly a couple small bolts on the wheel liner, those you'll see whether or not they need to be removed.

Take out the headlights and foglights too of course, and you should be set. It also wouldn't hurt to tape up the corners of the bumper before removing it if you want to be super careful of scratches.

The only thing I took off that had to do with the latch was the latch cover.

Thanks guys. I'll get to working on that when I get a chance, hopefully this weekend. I think yall will like how the GP is turning out. If any of yall remember it, i'm still going with the green and black theme on it. I had the hood wrapped in matte black with the SE lip kit black. Now the hood is color matched with the green and i'm going gloss black on the SE kit. Instead of the machined color grilles, I went with gloss black powder coat and am looking at getting gloss black inlays for the rear bumper and i'm debating on whether or not to get a gloss black pontiac arrowhead on the front bumper. It doesn't have anything at the moment. The final touch will be getting black housing retros done by classy with a halo ring over the low beams and wheels. I am considering black 5 spoke wheels but idk if I'll be able to pull the black wheels off or not. Opinions? Suggestions?

i just looked for all the push pin clips and the bolts in the fenders and the screws in the wheel wells. go tit off in less then 20 minutes. never took one off before. it got a repaint.

its easier to work on if the cars up on ramps, or jack stands even. turning the wheels lets you get tot he bolts that go into the fenders as well as the little screws.
