I thought we had a thread like this but I don't remember where it was or where it went so I'm starting a new one.
This is a thread to list all of the useless mods that are sold by vendors/eBay. List the worthless items and reasons why they are worthless and link to proof if available.

THIS THREAD IS FOR CAR STUFF NOT FORUM MODS.

    1. eBay chips - Do nothing at all https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGtImIP6j3A
    2. Throttle body spacer - Does not do anything (unless you are taping it for nitrous or water/meth injection.) Might cause coolant leak. http://www.gpona.com/forums/supercha...er-t21942.html
    3. Throttle body heat shield. - Doesn't do anything http://www.gpona.com/forums/04-08-gr...ld-t23790.html
    4. ZZP Race Pellet. - PCM must be tuned to use it, happy knob can be made for less, but still needs to be tuned for. http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...amp-Happy-Knob
    5. Cold Air Intakes(K&N, Wizaired, SLP, Ect) - Do not live up to any of the claims made by vendors. http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...en-Cone-Intake https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCi2yo4UqPI
    6. Cat-back exhaust - The factory cat-back is good to 350 whp so unless yours is rusted leave it alone.
    7. U-bend delete - Not really a useless mod, but there are other mods that can be done to eliminate this problem that are better for the car such as a downpipe or headers.
    8. Electric superchargers - Do not work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbGWgvJN1_8
    9. These things - Pretty much useless fall under same category as the Electric superchargers.

What about the little resistor people used to wire into the IAT sensor to make it think it was always negative bajillion degrees and they thought the car would run super fast?

Nitrogen fill in tires. Natural air is about 78% nitrogen and "pure nitrogen" they are putting in not pure. So you're paying money for like 10-15% increase in Nitrogen. Just check your tires every couple weeks and you'll be fine!

I'm pretty sure he is talking about the ZZP Race Pellet. http://shop.zzperformance.com/store/...ce-Pellet.aspx

And this is supposed to be a serious thread. I was trying to get a list of mods that are sold either by vendors or on eBay that are worthless and do not benefit the 3800. So yeah Joe and Turbocharged those do not count...............

Lol true. I've had people tell me to put nitrogen in tires so they last longer lol

Lmao. Hit a pot hole and see how high you bounce or fly on the highway and the car will start to lift up lol. My real guess is your traction and possibly braking would be less effective

I don't think it would make that much more difference than a lighter rim would lol. Those steelies far outweight the lift of the helium that would fill the tire.

I bet your wallet would get really light - that's never good.

Pretty sure he's joking. And yes, lighter rims would be much smarter.
