what is the easiest way to remove the steering column from the rack assembly? I read on another forum that easyier access is gained by removing the brake booster, then you can more easily reach the cover boot. Maybe someone else has a better way??

you could try through the drivers wheel well..... its not much space.. but it could work.

other than that... the brake booster would be a good idea to remove.

I went through the drivers side wheel well when I had to unhook mine. It was a little tight like said above, but a little patience and you can get it done.
