I took my car to a reputable trans shop, its a Buick regal that has the non supercharged engine. Just wanted to share something I have never thought about. They test drove the car and said at-least one if not both front brake calipers are froze or sticking badly etc and that's probably what killed the trans.

The trans was taken apart and the they way the trans was worn and considering it only has 94,000 miles. That's what the conclusion the shop came up with. He said it was just a hunch..

But just I have never heard of that .

id find it hard to believe, your pads would have been burned up real fast. and you would have felt them dragging.

I would have asked to see the pads and rotors. I had a sticking caliper one time, car decelerated like a mofo and that rim was hot as a DAM mofo. Box truck had a stuck caliper and it always wanted to turn right, going around a corner I didnt even need to turn the wheel, did it for me. Pads get chewed up super fast, not no 94k mile crap.
