What if his roller lifter collapsed? I would check that out before pulling the head.

I have 4 LS7 lifters if you want them Joe if that is what it ends up being.

Wouldn't I hear some kind of ticking if the lifter collapsed?

    Got the head off woooo.

No damage to the piston wooo. They sure look ugly though.

I haven't got a chance to remove the valve because I forgot my spring compressor at home.

i also manage to break all the rear injector o-ring retainer things.

I'll post pictures when I get home.

Here's the suspected bad valve. It has a burn mark on it.

Also I cleaned the new head surface with a wire wheel. Did i **** up?

A wire wheel... No... Why... should've just cleaned the gasket material off with a razor blade...

You might be OK, but I don't know. I've never taken a wire wheel to a gasket mating surface.

put that valve in a drill, and spin it. you'll know asap if its got a bend or not.

the lifter could be jacked up too. maybe worth changing it while its open.

Car is running like complete ****. I have several codes. I think I ****ed up the wiring harness because the trans is whining.

Oh and that miss is still there when I give it quick throttle.

It idles very high until it warms up .

Then it takes a lot of gas to get it to move from a stop.

Okay I fixed all the codes. Its because the coolant temp sensor was smashed leaving only the three prongs left.

I connected its wire on the harness to the three spring wrong.

Anyway it still misses. All that work for nothing.
