Ya my crossover doesn't fit properly either. . I'll make it work for another year or 2 then go for a newer car
Probably another impala but with the 3.6 and 6 speed transmission.

Yeah as said before some fit great some don't...as previously stated I am running same tune and 3.3 pulley that I was on the headers and have no KR WOT so I would say they flow same as my headers did...I will say the power band has dropped back down though more bottom end then before

Still planning on going turbo sometime soon? I get tempted to leave my PLOG on the front bank in the hopes of going turbo at some point. Headers will be nice, but trying to decide if I should leave my existing setup on for a little longer until I decide which route to take.

    here's what stumps me.....

PLOG & downpipe for ~300WHP, then headers are needed?

    but...

PLOG + turbo + downpipe to make 400WHP and yet you are still using PLOG, rear manifold and downpipe?
    huh?

I agree. That always seemed a bit strange to me as well. I think the main thing is that after around 300WHP, you can probably still use a PLOG/DP setup, but it just gets harder and harder to combat knock while trying to make more power. Probably need better intercooling effects and better flow/less heat up top and then the exhaust may still be limiting you from stepping up into higher power levels.

the roots style blowers produce a ton of heat and rob more HP from the motor than any other power adders that I am aware of. Even radial, single stage centrifugal superchargers likely produce less heat and parasitic loss because of the lower weight/momentum of the compressor wheel.

the turbo setup has several factors playing into the fact that they can produce far more power on simpler (more restrictive) setups

also, where r u located in OH?

You cannot compare pre-turbo exhaust flow and post-head exhaust flow when supercharged. The turbo becomes your biggest restriction in the exhaust, making plog/stock manifolds not an issue, and people have made close to or more than 400whp on 2 stock manifolds and a z3/similar crossover. You don't need good flow before the turbo, you are just building pressure to spin the turbo, so it doesn't matter nearly as much as it does when supercharged if it flows well. Just needs to get pressure to the turbo.

You should hit the track, curious on what it runs or post a speedo vid.

I have a leak coming from a crack around 1 of the runners on my plog. Looking at headers to replace it
