start your car, turn the wheels all the way to the left, now get on your hands and knees and look from behind the pass side front tire. look just past the oil filter over the axle is a sensor with a green plug, ( the one in the pic) if the plug is wet or dripping or pouring out its the sensor leaking.

ive blown like 3 of them out, took the last one into the hardware store, found a nut that fit the old one, then found a brass plug the same thread size, wrap the threads up with Teflon tape and put it in till its snug, then stop. or the housing will crack.

or, buy a oil pressure gauge and in stall it in the hole.

having it unplugged does nothing, no lights will come on from it. mines off for like 3 years now.

yeah thats the pos. after you change it, keep a eye on it. they like to fail.

take pass side wheel off, reach in with channel lock pliers and un screw it, have a drain pan handy oil will leak out.

the new one. it will have thread sealant on the threads already, once again turn it in till its snug, about 1/2 into the thread sealant. look at the old one how far it was in for reference. if you make it to tight the case will split. the threads are tapered if you look closely. aka they get fatter the deeper you go.

Thanks alot! Seems the oil pressure sensor is the problem. i jacked up the car and turned the wheels to the left, didnt see too much oil around it but after i started up the car, I saw the oil dripping moderately form the oil pressure sensor. I'm assuming once i drive it spills out faster because the pressure goes up. But yes it seems that the oil pressure sensor is the problem since i saw it leaking.. How long do they last? Im scared to plug it because i wont know when my oil pressure is low right?.

Also Im uploading a video now but after i change my pcv my car make like a crying noise. So I took out the dipstick and the noise stops, put the stick back in and it makes the noise. also there is lots air sucking in from the dipstick. If i put my finger over the dipstick it seems to to be sucking it in..

you messed up didn tthe pcv valve some how. open it up re do it.

i went through 3 of them oil pressure sensors in a year, why its now got a plug installed. and i used 3 different brands of sensors. they all suck.

the plug cost 50 cents, it has not leaked since.

Thx LOL but how will you know when your oil pressure is too low?

Here is the video crying noise after changing pcv

I took the pcv valve out and put it back it, its in there correctly. i think I may have the wrong part. It said 2191 on it but from what i remember it was shorter then the original one. I put the pcv in with the larger round side down

The light for that sensor comes on a 5psi when the engine is basically to far gone anyway, you can pop an oil pressure gauge in that instead of the dummy light sensor.

if you still have to old one, shake it, if it rattles inside re use it. its fine. theres a o ring in the bottom it has to seat in there.

im not all that familiar with the n/a pcv install. but if thats what you touched before the crying started its not in there right. maybe you got it upside down?

Your right with the pcv. The POS autozone worker gave me the wrong pcv. He gave me one for a super charge grand prix
    http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...mString=search

    Mines use this one: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...er=266133_0_0_
Same year but not the supercharged engine version. Supercharged and regular engine takes 2 different pcv's and he gave me the supercharged engine one

if you have the old one, spray some brake cleaner in side it let it wash out. put it back in. that simple. its when the little ball inside dont rattle it needs to be cleaned or replaced.

Opps, the ball was rattling inside of it when i replaced the old one. Autozone worker said that doesnt matter but who knows he gave me the wrong part anyway. Autozone is next door to me so Im going to run up there soon.

So now in relation to my other thread it is the MAF cleaning that made my SEL go off, but now it goes on and off so yes it must have been the MAF. going to replace that now, actually Im getting one from the junk yard for free until I get the $100

just buy and use the jy maf. its better then a after market one any day. im on a 4 year old jy maf, cost me 40 bucks.

get your car scanned when the light is on. codes will tell you whats wrong. dont turn the car off if the cel goes off when you restart the car.

and what did you use to clean the maf? maf cleaner i hope, or its as good as dead now.

http://www.obd-codes.com/p0102 low voltage code. check the wires to the maf for damage, missing insulation or cracks. if you see any of that the pig tail is bad not the maf.

pig tails are lke 15 bucks new. or junk yard bought too, just find a good one and cut it off. solder it on your cars harness.

i did my maf, and ait sensors pig tails when i got my car.

Hey did you install the pcv with the large round part in first? I wonder if mines is backwards

Funny thing on AutoZone website it shows another part number but at their store they said the part I have is correct
