Okay so I don't know if this is the right area for this but I need some help. I have an 02 Grand Prix SE. The cat was clogged so I cut it off. Now 5 years later its having issues. I don't know if it was from the cat being off or from my latest accident. The car starts fine and drives fine until it gets warm then it has issues. It sounds like its starving for gas. Its at an old friends shop because he's looking at it and he said its because of the cat being off the o2 sensors shut the fuel pump off. I don't understand how after 5 years of running just fine that now it would be the cat. I just thought the sensors would ding and the check engine light would come on. Another guy said it could the PCM has a loose connection. So when it gets hot the wire comes unsoldered and moves. I've replaced basically everything in the car except the engine, transmission, PCM, or the ignition switch. Would straight piping it still mess up the o2 sensors? Theres flex pipe on there know connecting the pipe off the manifold to the rest of the exhaust. My next question is what do you guys think it is the o2 sensors or the PCM? If you guys would know how to fix it or could provide any help let me know. Thanks.

With your missing cat the O2 sensors would just keep your fuel system on open loop, they would not have the ability to shut your fuel pump off. As for the loose connection with heat it sounds plauseble but unlikely. What are your coolant temps? Have the car's maintenance been kept up to date? Have you scanned for codes? Kind kind of accidents has the car been involved in? All that info would help us help you narrow it down.

Cars temp is usually around 210. Cars maintenance has been up to date. I've scanned for codes multiple times but its usually the o2 sensors pop up. Car has been involved in front end accidents. Need anything else?
