2001 grand prix gt 4 dr igntion wont turn

hey guys, new here ive had the car for about a month and parked it in garage came out next morning to go to work and the key wont turn... wheel is locked. need some advice please.

push the steering wheel to the left and right, while trying to turn the key. it maybe hanging on the lock.
