So I just installed an hid kit tonight. I have DRL and only bought the low beam bulbs. I was wondering since when I switch my headlights to high beams they turn off since I don't have any, could I just have my car on high beams all day as it'll be the same as having the lights off, or will that be bad for the bulbs/drain power? It'll be on high beams, but no lights are on.

What year is the car, and are you trying to disable DRLs?

I just saw you had on 03.

To disable the DRLs open the little panel on on the drivers side of the dash

Look inside and you should see a heatsink, unplug the connector as you see in my pic and no more DRLs.

If I decide I want DRL back, can I just plug it back in and it'll be good to go? And does leaving it in highbeams during the day accomplish it the same way, or would it be bad for the car/lights?

Yeah if you want to have DRLs again just plug it back in. I dont know of any damage it can do besides having the light on. I would just pull the connector so you don't have to worry about turning the high beams on everytime (I dont think they stay on when you turn the car off or it will beep at you possibly), plus if someone else drives the drives the car you don't have to worry about them turning the lights on or damaging your blubs and ballasts because of them running on a lower voltage.

Dummy question, is there only the one connector? The one plugging into the far right side?

The one into the silver heatsink with the fins is the one you need to disconnect. Has 2 wires. Unless your talking about the big loom of wires. You leave that alone.
