most GM cars seem to have a green wire to the ac compressor plug, and another wire in the plug. this green wire if you can trace it back should lead to the hi pressure switch, if theres no Freon the switch wont power the compressor.

ive powered the green wire to see if the compressor would turn on in the past. just to make sure it still worked.
