Re: Leaking gaskets need diagnosed (with pics)
funny but being my sensor is dead or dirty and its unplugged, and i had some head gasket leak deal that blue devil seemed to fix ive been checking mine weekly, one time it was like 2 inches low in the rad, but i had no coolant or water to add. so the next day i go to fill it and its full and coming out as i undid the cap lol hows that for a wtf moment? same thing every day after that too.
Re: Leaking gaskets need diagnosed (with pics)
Just took it for a joy ride. Drove real smooth and no coolant light. Engine smells hot and "coolanty" after I got home but Im assuming thats still normal. No visible leakage. Gurgling sound by t-stat but I think its just the coolant flowing.
Re: Leaking gaskets need diagnosed (with pics)
bleed it some more, try when its good and hot too. just crack the bleeder see what comes out, air or coolant.
Re: Leaking gaskets need diagnosed (with pics)
Ok next time I drive it I will do that. The first time I bled it it was shooting coolant, then air, then coolant, etc. Did I need to let it go till it was steady coolant flow?
Re: Leaking gaskets need diagnosed (with pics)
yes, once it pisses out a steady stream of coolant shut it.
Re: Leaking gaskets need diagnosed (with pics)
Oh...whoops. I let it go for a while and it didnt seem like it was gonna be a steady stream. Next time I run it I will do that
Re: Leaking gaskets need diagnosed (with pics)
Is it suitable if I let it run till fans come on then open the bleeder screw till stream comes out? And leave rad cap on so the coolant doesnt gush out the top?
Re: Leaking gaskets need diagnosed (with pics)
if its cold you can start it cap off. leave it off till the fans come on. bleed top off if need be, then cap it.
