Hello!
I recently purchased a 2000 GTP sedan, and I'm curious if my modification priorities should be different due to living in a desert climate. Tucson, specifically.
So far, the things I've done have been mostly maintenance/tune-up items:
Clean throttlebody
Air filter - Fram paper
Fuel filter - Fram stock replacememt
Plugs - AC Delco 41-993 Iridium
Wires - AC Delco stock replacements
Tstat - AC Delco 180°
PVC valve - AC Delco stock replacement
RH Front hub/bearing - Timken 513121
CV Shafts, both - A1 Cardone
Output shaft seals, both - Timken
Motor mount - Solid DEA
Torque thrust mounts, both - Anchor (also flipped)
And had the EBTCM repaired
Pretty sure previous owner drove around way too long on the broken mount and took out half the items on that list. Just wanted to make sure I had the basics covered before anything else.
Anyhow, My first purchases were going to be the Aeroforce scan guage, and an AEM wideband. After that, I'm unsure what would get me the most HP/$. Should I do the standard list (CAI, pulley, headers...)
OR, because of my higher ambient temps, should I hold off and save my nickles for the short stack intercooler? (Or something else?)
I would love to start throwing parts at this ASAP, but if they're only going to get me more KR, I don't want to do that. Just like everyone else here, I want to make every dollar count. Would like to hear opinions on this subject.
Here's what I'm starting with:
