I jammed a screw driver in the bushings and used a lot of force and it broke loose.

no way. this control arm has multiple holes in it from rotting away. I tried chisels I tried screw drivers I even burned away the rubber and tried vice grips etc. It was in such poor shape. I cut the bastard off I'll just find a grade 8 bolt somewhere and use that. Need to find out what size it is. But ill just bring the one from the other side to work and let the tool makers tell me what I need to get.
good luck, the torx bit was a retarded design anyway.

you aint kidding I'll be happy to replace both with a REAL bolt!
thanks, the guys at work will give me the exact specs on it. I'll report back in case anyone in the future wants to know.

So I was told its a 14mm bolt. 90mm long and 2mm thread pitch. However we noticed that 9/16 has a tighter tolerance in the bushing. So we didn't have any long enough at work. I stopped at lowes and picked up a 9/16 x 4 inch grade 8 with hardened flat washers /lock washers/ nut.
The threads start farther away from the head of the bolt than the original but its a better fit overall and less threads touch the bushing inside the rubber.
