See that's the thing. I don't want a 3.4" lol I want a step down from a 3.4". Just a 3.5" That gets the car going, but isn't too crazy.

The difference between a 3.5 and 3.4 is so minor.

In car tune means someone who knows how to tune rides with you and tunes the car

Alright. Thanks for the information. And what does he tune the car with? A chip? Some sort of device? Sorry for all of the questions. I've been wanting to know a lot for awhile.

It means someone actually driving your car and making adjustments to your tune while monitoring different parameters as opposed to calling zzp or intense etc and getting an off the shelf tune.

You have a PCM... That's what gets tuned. You don't have a chip.

Ohh gotchya. And based off of how the engine is running, and air/fuel ratios, compression, psi etc. that's how I know if I can drop pulley sizes or not?

As far as "scanning" most people run a Aeroforce scan gauge. You can actively monitor parameters such as K/R, AFR, and so on. Given the mods you listed you and a proper tune... you might be okay but with significant retarded timing would be my guess. But that all depends on what day of the week your car was built.

This. It's different from just ordering a generic mail order tune like ZZP etc where they just doing adjustment that may have worked on other cars.. A in car tune will be tuned to your car specifically. So adjustments can be made

I kind of understand the topic of KR, but what do you mean by retarded timing?

But you need to make sure the person doing the "tuning" knows what they are doing otherwise you will have a bad day and no more car

With the mods I have, would running a 3.6 be okay? I could send the one I got back and exchange it for a 3.6.

A 3.6 would be a way better option.

Still doesn't mean he knows how to tune or how to tune a 3800.

True. He used to be a street racing fanatic like I'm turning into(a little bit) and so I'm guessing he knows how to, but there is a chance he doesn't. So in conclusion, you guys would recommend a 3.6" pulley and I should be good to go?

"Should" be but again for the 1 millionth time you need something to scan for knock. What works for one car doesn't mean it'll work for other cars. Without scanning you really dk where the motor is at. I would not even touch the stock pulley until you have something to scan with unless you enjoy changing it and when you chip a piston I'll be the first to say I told you so.
