Wondering if it is really necessary to buy a smaller belt for running down to a 3.4" pulley. I am deciding between a 3.5" or 3.4" pulley at the moment. I believe that the ZZP site suggests the smaller belt for the 3.5" pulley (but doesn't seem mandatory).

Anyone have experience with this that can chime in? Will I get belt slip if I don't go smaller?

    Thanks

You might be able to get away with it.. or you might get belt squeal. If you don't want to use a larger belt.. get a larger tensioner pulley
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

If you have a loose belt it will slip over the pulley and not spin the blower as fast as possible aka slower car, less boost, worn out belts due to friction, squealing, and little black parts of belt all over.

I'll just change it and call it a day. $30 bucks to avoid issues seems worth it.
