I am trying to decide between a SS intercooler or 1.85 roller rockers. Not looking for a bunch of additional recommendations or why to go with another part instead of either of these please. Just would like some opinions on which you would go with if you had the choice, and maybe some reasons why (assuming similar price for both).

    Thanks in advance!

Why not both? I have a ssic with 1.84 rollers and it works for me. Some people will come on here and say the ssic isn't worth it because in their opinion it doesn't do anything. Which is ridiculous. I've had mine on for years with a on/off switch for the pump and with it off and looking at the scan gauge it registers wayyy to much kr for me to feel comfortable with. With it turned on the intercooler makes it dissappear, but the smallest pulley you'll be able to work with is a 3.3 and that's pushing it. I know some are able to get away with 3.2 on it but it didn't work for me.

Thanks for the reply, and the good info. What pulley size are you running right now with that setup? Is it pretty difficult to install the SS? I am tempted.

1.8 roller rockers provide no upgrade and will more commonly reduce horsepower.

3.3 for the cool/cold winter months. 3.4 when it's hazy; hot & humid. Wasn't to difficult. My only problem was getting it to seal between the intercooler and manifold. I had to take it off twice to reseal it. There's a big difference between 1.8's and 1.85's. 97AutoXVette you hava a computer do some reasearch and you'll find out what you're getting with 1.85's. Just google it.

If you're gonna go through the trouble of IC, go all the way. Short stack is wasting $... Would be like just putting 1.8's on your intake valves only, lol...

If choice between rockers or IC. I would choose IC...

Now, maybe Rockers aren't going to add a helluva lot of HP, compared to IC, but I like my 1.9's just fine. Gave me more legs on top end without a doubt, but still isn't a cam. You do rockers and like most 80-90% of us, will do a cam some time afterwards. Lol... But with the IC, you reap benefits that can work even without cam (stock).
Overkill BBC Cam, YT 1.8 RR's, Rhodes Lifters, STGII Heads, GenV, Pacesetters, 3" Exh to Tips, TEP Trans. N*, ID 75# injectors/E85 coming soon
