I was snugging up my oil pan bolts last night to torque specs whilst doing an oil change and snapped one off.

I extracted it and had a similar bolt laying around as it was late and all the parts stores were closed. I filled her back up with oil and all is well.

Anyone know the exact bolt size/type the pan uses to mount? Peace of mind thing I guess for my next oil change so I can have it ready and swap it in. Thanks!

and alum pans need to be a hair longer.

yeah bill I aints kiddin when I mention how much the SII shares with its ancestors....
our bare block is ALL SAE fasteners except for the accessory mounting points.

its amazing how often ive seen the PS pump bolts crossthreaded from someone using a T cover bolt...
