So I have two Grand Prix's one a '99 four door and a '00 two door. I recently bought the 1999 and after a few tests we can say I threw a rod in the engine. Is there a difference between the engines that would stop me from being able to swap the engine?

Then I have another question, since I threw the rod I bought another engine it's another 3.8l but this was has a supercharger in it. I heard after I bought it that it may be a hell of a time for me to change all the wiring on the vehicle to even get the engine to work? If it is possible to swap the engine could you kind of tell me everything that I would need to purchase to put the supercharger into the engine. ~Another idea I have was taking the supercharger off of the engine then just putting into the engine that is in the car so I dont have to do a full swap.

Any ideas will help, sorry if this is in the wrong area, it was a broad range of engines and questions. Any help will be greatful!

yes the engine swap will work.

not sure what you want to do with the sc engine? why not just use it whole? cheaper then taking the top off it and swapping it over to a n/a block. far less work involved thats for sure.

if you only bought a super charger you'll need the heads off a sc engine the fuel rails the pulleys and so on.

I bought the entire SC engine so I will just need all the other little things to make the car work with a supercharger. Wire harness and all the other stuff. This will be my first ever swap with anything like this and im not the best person with engines thats why I just wanted to see what I would all need, im going to have my friend who is wayyy more mechanically inclined than me to help me.

There are a lot of threads here about a top swap. You could use them as reference on what changes from a NA to SC motor being in a car.

The short list of what changes:
Flex plate to converter (SC converter is 258mm and NA is 245) so you swap a flex plate.
Change the connector going to the map sensor and extend it. (Can buy pigtail at parts stores/ebay)
    Get pcm tuned for SC
Leave boost control soleniod unhooked so the vacuum controls it.

    That's about it.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
