Hi, I have a 1999 Grand Prix GT and after just about a year of ownership I am noticing more squeaks coming from the plastic interior. Has anyone found ways to stop the squeaky interior?

there is only one way to stop the squeaks, and that is to not drive the car.

Buy felt tape...remove offending trim...put tape on areas that could rub together, rattle, etc. and reinstall trim. Road test...repeat as needed. This is the only way I've found to fix it. And stick-on pieces of thin foam...that helped too for rattles.

having someone push on this or that panel while driving will narrow it down too. match books are a good wedge to help use as a temp stop squeak while searching too. hell ive used them forever in my 77 gmc, the glove box squealed and a book of matches wedged in the top corner shut it up.

Thanks, once it is warmer out I might have to try the tape and foam.

You can also spray dry silicone on the areas that are rubbing together and squeaking. Often times you will find that areas where screws are used to hold panels tight, have simply loosened up some and making sure they are snug helps.
