So recently my walker quiet flow exhaust took a crap on me and my muffler busted clean off the pipe. It's only the second year ive had the exhaust and it was most rusty and flaked off piece of metal under my car. So now i need a new exhaust and need some information and opinions. My first question is, will the zzp 2.5" exhaust and the magnaflow exhaust blot right up to my cat without any kind of adapter? Also what you guys prefer, the magnaflow or the zzp branded one. And if you think the zzp one is better, would the aluminized by fine, or is the stainless a better idea.

    edit: its a 97-03

I've seen "stainless" get rust before. Aluminized should be fine but before you install paint the exhaust I. High temp exhaust paint that will help with rust

My buddy Frosty95 on here has the ZZP 3.0" aluminized and it sounds heavenly. By far the best 3800 exhaust sound I've ever heard. And its holding up well to a nasty slushy salty winter so far.

The magnaflow one is supposed to be the GMPP one that was offered a few years ago through GM parts.

Would the magnaflow for the GMPP kit have magnaflow logos or part numbers on it... or would it have GM part numbers? When I bought this car, it's my second GP and it has way more rumble in the exhaust, and a much nicer sound than any other GP I ever heard.. but it has GM part numbers on it.

Thanks for the advice. I ended up going with the 2.5" aluminized catback w/ resonator and zzp mufflers. I figured the magnaflow one would be nice, but it was like $800 after shipping and tax and the 2.5" was only $500. I was a little nervous about it just having an aluminum coating, but i read on their website that they have stainless welds and y-pipe, which made the decision much easier. And i thought something might be different about that magnaflow one because my cousin runs an O'Reily by my house and he got me a price of around $970 with his wholesale discount, which is like $300 more than the zzp magnaflow exhaust.
