I dont know why everyone is making this sound so diffacult. Swap only the engine over, Then swap the fuel rails, Use an adaptor plate so you can run your gt throttlebody. All of the connectors should plug right in. You will be missing the connector for the boost bypass valve but it is useless anyways (I havent had mine since... ever). You will most likely need to use injector adaptors (ev1 to ev6 from racetronics?) or upgrade to 60#s with ev1 connectors. Then have someone come over to flash the pcm. Best bet is a 2001 or 2002 gtp bin file and then use your stock trans settings and maf table and the ve table from the 04 gtp and possibly the timing table as well.
Think he needs to use an l67 fuel rail?![]()
just out of curiosity is there a walkthrough for this 04+ engine tranny swap to 97-03 i can reference while i try to undertake this
like a engine pull how to? why yest there a few here, if thats what you mean. how to pull just a engine, just a tranny, or both at the same time, out the top or bottom.
not pulling that would be the easier part of the swap .. getting the engine and tranny in my 99 gt and having it start up and run with no hiccups ... i would run with the engine only if it were not for the fact that i purchased the car from a drug task force auction with 166,000 miles with it and the tranny fluid looks like it was never replaced while its not slipping or throwing any codes i would like to put this newer less miles transmission in. i would have the entire car i was hoping i could take engine tranny pcm and harness but it is looking like i would be incorrect
