I was gonna go with that "weldless adapter" but decided to do it right the first time. Shouldn't cost more than $10-20 and if a shop tells you different tell them to get ****ed.

to bad they all aren't so cool. they are independent shops, so they do what they do.

keep calling around. the right shop is out there.

I did find a mom and pop shop when I wanted to have the exhaust system replaced......the owner did nothing but cut the car down and told me "if it was mine, I'd park it"

yeah most want to rape you as best they can. i took my car in for a muffler, they wanted to sell me a cat back for like 300, after complaining of that price they were like well i could do it for 175 lol

i wound up doing it myself, part by part over time for less still.

you dont know someone with a welder? this is a easy thing to do.

try calling some local garages too.

So, what's wrong with the no-weld option? Looks like a heck of an idea to me..

clamps rot out and then leak. welded in is the way to go for the long haul.

If the long haul is more than a couple of years, no-weld will be good.... And no having to deal with a hole shops even better. Now I have to figure out where to drill.

Instructions say 18" from exhaust inlet. With turbo, 36".
