Are copper plugs fine to use? It looks like everyone uses iridium. I only drive probably 2,000 miles a year as of now so I am looking at copper plugs.

I'm looking at ac delco 41601 and ac delco wires. Also, I swapped the plug wire from the Buick to mine and same thing happens. About halfway around the block starts hesitating and vibrating.
Found out the Buick has a cylinder 4 misfire so the coil might not be good anymore. I will try swapping the next warm day. In the mean time in going to order plugs and wires. Are those plugs good?
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=89926 acdelco is what came in the car, but it came with acdelco iridium plugs. copper are just fine tho. just dont last as long.
The AC Delco 14 plugs in my car are platinum and are heat range 3. These copper ones are heat range 4. Will this make any difference?
Bad plug can still cause the missfire at random times. You have eliminated the wire more or less. Next try swapping the plug from the bad cylinder to one that isnt misfiring.
I haven't been driving it long enough for the check engine light to come on so how would I found out if the cylinder is misfiring?
I have a code scanner called torque on my phone which works great. But there isn't a code because I don't want to drive it to long and the check engine light doesn't come on in the time I drive it. Is there a way I can monitor something that will show if it's misfiring? I can monitor a lot of things using this app and obd2 scanner.
Torque can watch for misses. Just add it to the display, also no need to order the plugs online, just go to an autoparts store and tell them you want those. Save shipping.
*sigh* It seems no one understands the process of elimination as soon as you bring a car into the mix. Have fun.
Frosty, my car needs new plugs and wires anyway so I ordered them. This will eliminate some possibilities that could be causing the misfire if it is still happening. If it still continues I will try to eliminate more possibilities after the plugs and wires are replaced.
cylinder 5 misfire p0305. plugs are autolite 104's. plugs and wires were changed about 3000mi ago. i swapped the 5-2 and 6-3 coil packs to see if the miss would follow to cylinder 3 and it stayed on 5. also was fine this morning for about 25 minutes then started missing again. i pulled the plug to see if there was fuel getting to it and there was. also checked all the coil packs and there reading right around 5.5 ohms at the male end. help please so confused.
that was my next move just wanted to see what other people thought
I got the plugs and wires replaced today and no luck. I drove a block and a half and everything was fine then parked to plug in torque and while I was plugging it in it started to shake and misfire. I'm going to try swapping coils with the Buick but if the coil is fine what should I do from there?
Just noticed the site was down most of the day so I thought I should up this post.
